The Project
How Supacare works.
We bring together communities, collection partners, and climate finance to keep Kenya's waste out of dumpsites and burning piles.
How it works
Four steps. Real impact.

Partner
We sign up households, schools, hotels, markets, and estates. Each partner commits to separating and handing over their waste instead of burning or dumping it.

Collect
Our network of local collection partners picks up waste on a regular schedule. Nothing goes to a dumpsite or open fire.

Measure
Every tonne collected is weighed, logged, and verified by our field agents using mobile data tools. The data feeds directly into our MRV system.

Credit
Verified diversion is submitted to the Gold Standard registry. Each approved tonne becomes a carbon credit that funds the programme and keeps it growing.
Who we serve
Every type of waste generator. One programme.

Households
Families across estates and residential areas separating waste at source.

Schools
Educational institutions building a culture of responsible waste disposal.

Hotels
Hospitality businesses diverting food and packaging waste from landfill.

Markets
Traders and market vendors managing organic and mixed waste responsibly.

Institutions
Offices, hospitals, and public facilities handling waste at scale.

Estates
Gated communities and apartment complexes with organised collection.

Methodology
GS4GG — Gold Standard for the Global Goals. Solid waste diversion from open burning and dumping.
How we measure
Every tonne counted. Every credit verified.
Rigorous measurement is what separates a real carbon credit from a promise. Our MRV system tracks waste from collection to registry — so buyers and partners know exactly what they're funding.
- Waste is weighed at point of collection by trained field agents
- Data is captured on mobile devices and synced to our MRV platform
- Emission factors follow the GS4GG methodology for solid waste diversion
- Independent auditors verify the data before credits are issued
- Credits are listed on the Gold Standard registry — traceable and permanent
Community impact
Better for the people doing the work.
The collectors in our programme earn real income from waste that used to be thrown away. Schools gain a sense of environmental ownership. Families breathe cleaner air.
As the project grows, so does its reach. More routes, more collectors, more communities pulling waste out of the environment and putting value back in.

On the ground every day.
Our team operates across every county we serve, building relationships one community at a time.
