Supacare waste management operations across Kenya
Gold Standard · Kenya

Turning Kenya's waste into real climate impact.

We partner with households, schools, hotels, and markets across Kenya to divert solid waste from burning and dumping. Communities get cleaner. The planet benefits. And every tonne creates a carbon credit.

What we do

We partner. We measure. We create impact.

Supacare partners with households, schools, hotels, markets, and estates across Kenya. Waste that would have been burned or dumped gets properly managed through our network of collection partners.

Every diversion is measured, verified, and turned into carbon credits on the Gold Standard registry, attracting climate finance that keeps the programme running and growing.

Real operations, real communities

Waste composting and processing

Waste sorting

Trained field teams sort and weigh collected waste at designated points along each collection route.

Data collection

Field agents record participant-level data tied to every collection, building a rigorous audit trail.

Processing

Organic waste goes to composting; recyclables are directed to accredited facilities. Nothing is wasted.

Carbon credits

Every tonne of waste we divert becomes a Gold Standard carbon credit.

Waste that stops burning stops polluting. We quantify that and list the credits on the Gold Standard registry. Corporates and institutions buying our credits fund cleaner communities in Kenya and verified climate impact.

SDG 3

Good health

Less burning means cleaner air for families.

SDG 11

Sustainable cities

Organised waste makes towns liveable.

SDG 13

Climate action

Every credit is a verified emission avoided.

SDG 15

Life on land

Less waste dumped, more land protected.

Beyond collection

Waste that leaves our trucks doesn't go to landfill

Organic waste is composted through our in-vessel and solar-drying systems, producing compost for farms and nurseries. Dry recyclables are sorted and sent to accredited partners. Nothing is wasted.

Community first

Cleaner neighbourhoods. Better livelihoods.

The people collecting waste in our programme earn income from it. Schools learn why it matters. Families breathe cleaner air.

As the project grows, the benefit grows with it. More routes, more collectors, more communities.
